Praja Parishad merges with UML

KATHMANDU: The Praja Parishad Party has merged into CPN-UML on Thursday. The announcement was made at a programment organised in Chabahil in the Capital today.

According to Chetan Adhikari, press coordinator of UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, an agreement for the same was made between UML Chair Oli and Parishad Acting Chair Govinda Prasad Dulal.

They issued a two-point paper stating the merger process. The paper reads that both parties agreed for the unification process to strengthen democracy, materialise the dreams of martyrs and forward the holistic development of the nation.

On the occasion, UML chair Oli claimed that there was no alternate of UML for development and prosperity in the country. He further urged the voters to make the party victorious with a clear majority in the upcoming federal and provincial elections.

Similarly, Parishad acting chair Dulal shared that they decided to be merged into UML due to UML's nationalistic stance.

The Praja Parishad was founded in 1993 BS.
