Mahat flying to Delhi Sunday for PM's visit preparation

KATHMANDU: Foreign Affairs Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat is scheduled to embark on a three-day official visit to India upon an invitation from his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj tomorrow.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Mahat would start his visit on Sunday, September 11 and return home on Tuesday, September 13.

It has been learnt that Mahat would prepare ground for PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal's upcoming India visit.

Dahal is scheduled to visit the southern neighbour from September 15 to 18 upon the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

MoFA further said in the statement that it believed the Minister’s visit would further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
