President tells civil servants to prioritise nation's welfare

KATHMANDU: President Ram Baran Yadav has stressed that civil servants at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should always be effortful with a full sense of responsibility for the promotion of welfare of the nation and nationality.

During a meeting with fresh section officers of the Ministry at his office on Wednesday, the President said interests of the nation should be the first priority of civil servants.

The officers are currently receiving training at the Institute of Foreign Affairs.

On the occasion, Institute Director Rhishiraj Adhikari apprised the President of the Institute's activities.

Eight section officers including two women are attending the three-month on-the-job training.
