KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has congratulated Joachim Gauck, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the occasion of the National Day of Germany.

In a message of best wishes to his German counterpart issued on Friday, President Yadav wished for the German president’s personal health and happiness and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Germany.

Likewise, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has extended sincere congratulations to Dr Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, on the same occasion.

Wishing for her good health and happiness, and for progress and prosperity of the people of Germany, Koirala expressed his confidence that the friendly relations existing between the two countries will grow further in the years ahead.
