KATHMANDU: President Ram Baran Yadav has authenticated six bills passed by the Legislature -Parliament.

This is the first time that the President authenticated the bills after the promulgation of new constitution.

The authenticated bills include the Appropriation Bill 2015, Financial Bill 2015, the Bill to Amend Some Acts on Gender Equality and Ending Gender Violence, the Bill to Amend or Scrap Some Laws and the Bill related with Lands.

According to a statement issued today by Dhruba Raj Acharya, assistant spokesperson of the Office of the President, the bills were authenticated as per Article 113(2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
