PM lauds Nepali Army for its professionalism

Bhaktapur, April 12

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the Nepali Army had established itself as a professional and dignified institution under the command of the government.

Addressing a newly passed out batch of NA officers at the Military Academy in Bhaktapur today, the PM also appreciated the national force’s role in rescue operation during disasters as well as its involvement in infrastructure development in the country.

“The Nepali Army has introduced Nepal and the Nepalis to the world by making exemplary contribution to establishing peace in the international arena,” the prime minister said, adding,“The participation of foreign trainees in the NA Staff College in the recent days clearly shows the professional excellence of the Nepali Army.”

He also conferred insignia on all passed out officer cadets — 101 male, 24 female and two foreigners.

Defence Minister Bal Krishna Khand, Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri, among others, were also present on the occasion.

Prime Minister Dahal also honoured outstanding trainees.
