'Priority should be given to qualification, capacity development'
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that prosperous Nepal will be built only if just and equitable society is established.
He was speaking at a programme organised by the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare in the Capital today on the occasion of 106th International Women's Day.
Saying that women could move ahead if they get the opportunity, PM Oli said that priority should be given to the programmes developing women's qualification and capacity.
He said, "It is the achievement of the struggle that a woman has reached to the post of President in Nepal. Nepal has got the achievement which is rarely achieved in the world due to the struggle in the Constituent Assembly."
Stating that women's reservation was only for some places and level, the PM pointed out the need of investing more in different projects like compulsory education and economic empowerment of women.
