KATHMANDU: Central Working Committee members of the Nepali Congress on Tuesday sought clarification about the questions raised about the sudden demise of NC president Sushil Koirala.

“I had a cordial talk with him over phone from Taplejung on February 8 and was surprised to know that he died a little while later. Many people have been questioning why he was not taken to the hospital.

I urge the party leadership to probe into it and clear all doubts,” CWC member Suryaman Gurung told the CWC meeting.

Other CWC members, including Khand, Shekhar Koirala, Chandra Bhandari and Govinda Bhattarai also urged the party leadership to clear all doubts regarding late NC president’s sudden demise.

Acting president Ramchandra Paudel said the party would do the needful at an appropriate time. CWC will meet again on Thursday.
