KATHMANDU: Police said property worth Rs 123,000 was gutted after an electric short circuit sparked fire from a kitchen at a rented room in Chhauni marg of KMC-13 on Sunday.

The room was rented by Rajendra Sedhai of Sundar Bazaar-12 in Lamjung district.

Meanwhile, police said they are looking into the case.
