KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 1,000,000 were destroyed in a fire at a furniture factory in Jhaukhel of Changunarayan Municipality-2 in Bhaktapur district on Monday night.

According to police, the fire that started with an electric short-circuit gutted the wood housed inside the furniture factory belonging to Rajesh Mochamasi last night.

Police with the help of locals doused the fire.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway said police.
