Dahal govt completes 100 days; PM to launch report card

KATHMANDU: The coalition government led by CPN Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal has completed the first 100 days in office on Friday.

Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to hold a press conference at his office this afternoon and launch a report about the government's achievements, according to his press advisor Govinda Acharya.

The Prime Minister would also share the government's opinion about contemporary political issues during the press meet, Acharya informed.

The Maoist leader was elected the Prime Minister by the House on August 3 with the support of the largest Parliamentary force Nepali Congress and some fringe parties.

The coalition partners had also received support from the Federal Alliance and the United Democratic Madhesi Front, which were protesting the Constitution promulgated last year, for the government with a three-point agreement.

The agitating alliances, however, have been claiming that the government is not serious about implementing the agreements to its full spirit and threatening to resume the protests.
