Rai presents credentials to Zambian President

KATHMANDU: Nepal's Non-Residential Ambassador to the Republic of Zambia, Amrit Bahadur Rai, presented his letters of credence to Zambian President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, amid a special ceremony organized at State House, Lusaka, capital city of Zambia, on Wednesday.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Rai conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal as well as the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President and the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Zambia, said a press release issued by Embassy of Nepal in South Africa.

On the occasion, President Lungu extended his congratulations to the President and the Government of Nepal for the promulgation of the constitution and also expressed his best wishes for peace and prosperity of the people of Nepal.

He emphasized the need of cooperation on agriculture, tourism and cultural exchanges between two countries.
