Ram Chandra Paudel meets Rae, urges India to ease supplies
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Acting President Ram Chandra Paudel and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae held a meeting on Sunday.
In the meeting held at Paudel's residence in Bohoratar, Acting President Poudel urged Indian Ambassador Rae to ease supply management as Nepali's day-to-day life including the operation of hospitals and schools has been tougher due to the supply disruption.
"Problems within Nepal are our internal one; we will resolve the problems on our own. Let the blockade on import of goods from outside be lifted to ensure smooth supply," the acting President urged.
The problems surfaced in Tarai-Madhes are our own and the Nepalis themselves are capable to explore proper solution to the problem, Paudel's aide Chiranjibi Adhikari quoted him as saying in the meeting.
On the occasion, Ambassador Rae said that he was aware of the problems of Nepal and was positive to enable environment conducive for this.
