RPP not to vote for Constitution amendment bill: Lohani

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party National Chairman Prakash Chandra Lohani said that his party would not vote for endorsement of the Constitution amendment bill as it had some provisions against the national interests.

While inaugurating the Tokha Town Committee Assembly of the party today, Lohani also demanded that the government should soon approve the report of the Local Bodies Restructuring Commission, adding that it was essential to hold local polls.

Chairman Lohani added that the current political quagmire would remain as it was if the elections were not held on stipulated time.

Similarly, the party's General Secretary Tanka Dhakal shared that the party was effectively launching its all committees' conventions for the upcoming national congress.
