Readers’ club opened in City
Kathmandu, September 16:
A Readers’ Club (RC) has been opened in the capital to develop reading habit among students and others alike.
Speaking at a press conference organised under the aegis of the RC today, Amod Domzone, president of the RC, said, “Besides a conventional library, this is a reading destination with a peaceful environment.” He said that the RC was opened with a view to cultivating reading habit among students and others.
“We would be seminars, workshops and interactions with the participation of national and international researchers on various issues for disseminating the outcomes to a large number of audiences to bring all needful supports to researchers, dissertation composers and book publishers,” he said.
“This would be the right place where any scholar can be a part of it for hours-long study like their private room which gives them the choice of books from the library,” he said.
National and international organisations have donated 3,500 books to the RC.
