Reconstruct city roads immediately: OPMCM

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has expressed concerns over the delay in the reconstruction of roads in the Kathmandu Valley.

Roads in different places were dug for installing pipelines by the Melamchi Drinking Water Project, but debris alongside the roads, which are yet to be reconstructed, have been giving a tough time to general public.

Monsoon rains have made matters worse, with city denizens complaining that the un-repaired road sections have been causing inconvenience to them, said the OPMCM, directing the bodies concerned to immediately do the needful to resolve the problem.

A team from the OPMCM today inspected Sinamangal and Battisputali-Dilllibazaar-Ratnapark road sections.
