Release election results without delay: Nepal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged the Election Commission to immediately publish the election results and provide the information to Office of the President at the earliest.

Speaking at an event organised by left alliance in Kathmandu Constituency-2, Nepal said that the EC must not delay the publication of election results under proportional representation. Nepal also stressed on the need to end the transitional phase through new government formation.

Moreover, Nepal accused Prime Minister Deuba of creating unnecessary dispute over National Assembly Formation and not handing over the government.

Saying that the Single-Transferable-Vote is not mentioned in the Constitution and cannot be accepted, Nepal stressed on formation of National assembly through multiple electoral system.
