Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has emphasized that the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of earthquake survivors are the government's top priorities.

During a meeting with Rastriya Swatantra Party MPs, who came to express their gratitude to the government for its efforts in aiding earthquake survivors, he stated that the government is dedicated to providing every possible support to the survivors.

Expressing his gratitude for the appreciation from RSP MPs, Prime Minister Dahal mentioned that the government has already taken action based on the suggestions provided by RSP through the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Authority and the Council of Ministers.

He also emphasized that the government is committed to creating an environment where survivors can receive timely and appropriate relief support.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his determination not to repeat the mistakes of the past but rather to learn from them and tailor the relief and rehabilitation efforts for the survivors accordingly.

During the occasion, Dor Prasad Aryal, the Vice-president of RSP, presented a four-point memorandum to the Prime Minister.

He drew attention to the need for the government to monitor the distribution of relief materials to ensure they reach the survivors, to consider the harsh weather conditions while taking care of the survivors, and to implement necessary reforms in the laws related to relief and rehabilitation.
