KATHMANDU, JULY 18
The final report on the Saurya Airlines crash has been submitted nearly a year after the incident.
The investigation committee, led by former Director General Ratish Chandra Lal Suman, handed over the report to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey at a formal event held at the Ministry.
Minister Pandey stated that the report was submitted without reservations and assured that its recommendations would be implemented. The Ministry published the full report on its website shortly after receiving it.
The Saurya Airlines aircraft (9N-AME), en route to Pokhara for base maintenance, crashed near the runway at Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24 last year, killing 18 people onboard. The aircraft's pilot, Manish Shakya, was the sole survivor.
The investigation committee was formed the same day to look into the causes of the crash.
