Kathmandu: Dr Dineshananda Gangol, director of the National Academy Medical Science (NAMS), Bir Hospital, on Tuesday resigned from the post following pressure from the Ministry of Health and Population and various medical professionals. Then minister for health and population, Dr Upendra Devkota, established NAMS at Bir Hospital in 2002 to facilitate graduate doctors to pursue their post-graduation. — HNS
