Revamp hydel policy, Paudel tells NEA
Kathmandu, December 1:
Leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Paudel today urged the employees of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to revamp the country’s hydroelectricity policy.
“The policy we have been following has only left us to die in a sea of debts. It is a matter of shame for all Nepali citizens. We have to rethink and redo it,” he said, while addressing the seventh general convention of NEA Employee Association today.
“What has been revealed lately is that all the agreements we have reached with international companies to produce electricity through Nepali rivers only left us to bear the load of debt,” he said.
