Life is hard

Sometimes it hits you right in

the heart

From this, you know

It’s not as easy as making a tart

The recent quake

was devastating

Made us jump out of our shoes

It’s really very sad

We’ve lost a lot of good folks

But again that’s life

Let’s do what we always do

Shoo the past away

Rise up again

Know that it’s going to be hard
