Robber caught in the act
KATHMANDU: Police arrested an Indian national while he was allegedly running away after robbing a man of Rs 328,000 in Besigaun of Jorpati in Gokarneshwor Municipality-12, on Thursday.
Police said the 20-year-old Dhambir Bala from Bihar of India had snatched the bag of Loknath Phuyal (56), containing the cash, before fleeing the scene.
The incident had occurred while Phuyal was walking along the road after withdrawing the cash from Jorpati-based Agricultural Development Bank Branch Office, informed police.
Phuyal had instantly informed police about the incident and a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha apprehended Bala, some minutes after the incident, police added.
Police said they are investigating into the case.
