Royal couple enjoys Ghodejatra feu de joie

The King and Queen graced the Ghodejatra feu de joie performance organised by the Royal Nepalese Army at the RNA pavilion, Tundikhel, this afternoon.

On the occasion, the King gave away prizes to the winning performers of the programme. Chief Subedar Indra Bahadur Dahal received the first prize and Subedar Ram Bahadur Bhatta second in the musical ride, and Hudda Shyam Krishna Aryal received the prize in the show jump.

Present on the occasion were PM Surya Bahadur Thapa, chief justice Govind Bahadur Shrestha, Speaker Taranath Ranabhat, Rajparishad standing committee chairman Parashu Narayan Chaudhari, ministers, legislators, heads of constitutional bodies, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal and other high ranking officials.

Various games of horse race, show jumps, group tent pegging, and handkerchief picking were performed during the show. A large number of people had crowded at and around Tundikhel to watch the event.
