Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Kamal Thapa's book Ek Patak ko Sainik, Jiwanbhar ko Sainik (Once a Soldier, Always a Soldier) has been released.
Published by Sangri~La Books, Thapa's debut book was unveiled amid an event in the capital on August 12.
Ek Patak ko Sainik, Jiwanbhar ko Sainik is Thapa's memoir of the life and times of his father Colonel Chhatra Bahadur Thapa, in which the author chronicles his late father's decades-long military service, familial memories and some aspects of the then existing socio-political culture.
The RPP chair had recited some excerpts from the memoir at the launch while also sharing memories from his childhood and younger years with his father.
Chief of Army Staff General Purna Chandra Thapa had unveiled the book.
Sangri~La has made the book edited by Hom Bhattarai available at all major bookstores across the country, while Sampoorna Kitab in Bhotahiti are the primary distributors.
