RPP terms govt move immature, short sighted

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has said that the government's move to announce the local level pollsĀ  in Province No. 2 on September 18 by postponing the earlier scheduled date of June 28 was interference against the autonomy of the Election Commission.

The RPP has also termed the government's decision as 'immature and short-sighted' adding that it would spread wrong message in the international level and has asked the government to conduct polls on June 28.

RPP Spokesperson Bhuvan Pathak said that a common understanding should be developed by holding consultations with all political parties prior to taking decision in far-reaching issues.
