KATHMANDU: Various silver items were stolen from the Sanga Mahadev Temple in Suryabinayak Municipality-12 of Bhaktapur district.

According to police, a group of unidentified people stole a silver crown among other ornaments of a statue by breaking the main gate of the temple.

The stolen religious items are worth around Rs 500,000, added police.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab the thieves who are on the run.
