Saptari border clash victims honoured
KATHMANDU: Two persons who were injured in a clash with Indian nationals over a border dispute in Tilathi of Saptari district were honoured in Kathmandu on Monday.
A youth group named Jagaruk Yuwa Abhiyan honoured Durgananda Jha and Dev Narayan Yadav, who are currently undergoing treatment at the Man Mohan Medical College and Teaching Hospital (Proposed) in Kathmandu.
Receiving the honour, Yadav said he would continue to be active in protection of the nation till his last breath.
On July 28, a clash had ensued and tension had run high in the area after some Nepalis protested reconstruction of a dam carried out by India after it was swept away by a recent flood.
Presenting the honour, the Abhiyan's Secretary Janardan Paudel said the duo were true soldiers of the nation.
He added that the honour was a message that all Nepalis from mountains, hills and plains should be united to save the nation.
