Saraswati campus announces stir

Kathmandu, January 7:

Five student organissations of the Saraswati Multiple Campus, Lainchaur, today announced further protest programmes against the indifference shown by the campus chief towards their educational demands. They are also demanding an investigation into an attack on students by armed hooligans.

The student bodies’ programmes include filing a case at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against alleged embezzlement of the campus funds, making public the ‘corruption’ the campus administration is involved in through a press conference, gheraoing the Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor’s office demanding the resignation of the campus chief and stern action against the culprit and organising protest programmes.

In a press sttement, the student bodies said the campus chief had made no effort to solve the problem even though they had reached an agreement on December 22.
