SC hearing postponed
Kathmandu: The Supreme Court on Sunday did not hear the application of the Ministry of Defence seeking to vacate the interim order issued on the retirement of eight brigadiers though the case was scheduled in its cause list. The case was placed before a division bench of Justices Min Bahadur Rayamajhi and Khil Raj Regmi, where Rayamajhi refused to look into the case. Justice Rayamajhi said he could not look into the case as the precedent of Major Pradip Pratam Bam Malla referring the case was set by justices including him. Citing the precedent, a single bench of Justice Kalyan Shrestha issued an interim order on Thursday but the Ministry moved the apex court along with the petition for the vacation of the order the very next day.
