The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a writ petition that challenged the representation of NC leader Ram Chandra Paudel in the Constitutional Council meeting on behalf of the opposition leader Girija Prasad Koirala. Registrar Dr Ram Krishna Timalsena rejected the petition, stating that the petitioner could not produce enough evidence against Poudel representing Koirala in the meeting. Challenging Paudel’s representation in the CC, Nanda Prasad Adhikari had filed the petition in the SC, stating that the council members couldn’t appoint anyone to represent them in its meetings. — HNS
