KATHMANDU: A person died after a scooter he was riding on met with an accident in Tinkune of KMC-32 on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Gopal Ale (49) of Gaighat of Udaypur district, currently residing in Lalitpur.

According to the police, the accident occurred when the scooter (Ba 22 P 7401) lost control and fell on the road at 12:15 am last night, injuring Ale.

The injured was rushed to the Minbhawan-based Civil Service Hospital,  where he breathed his last during the course of treatment.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
