TIA official held with undeclared USD
KATHMANDU: Police said on Monday that they have arrested a Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) official with undeclared USD 4,450 from a restroom at the TIA premises.
The accused has been identified as 34-year-old Suresh Kumar Das, a permanent resident of Laminiya in Siraha district. Das is currently working as a Senior Technician at the country's only international airport in Kathmandu.
According to police, Das was taken in custody after the US dollars were found in his possession yesterday.
Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
