KATHMANDU: Police have arrested seven persons on charge of robbing a man of red coral necklace worth Rs 2 million in Bijeshwari of KMC-15 on Monday.

The suspects include Akash Tamang (21) aka Prem.

Tamang had allegedly snatched a bag containing the necklace from Nanda Bahadur GC (50) in Bijeshwari yesterday, according to police.

GC, who hails from Kohalpur-11 in Banke district currently living in Basantpur, Kathmandu was carrying the bag with jewellery.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
