Kathmandu, January 15:

Owing to bad weather, domestic airlines’ flights to Simra, Janakpur, Bharatpur and Bhairahawa were cancelled today.

Most airports in the Terai remained closed throughout the day, said an official at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Only 50 per cent of the domestic flights were in operation due to foggy weather, he said.

However, flights to Biratnagar, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Lukla among others took off from the Tribhuvan International Airport.
