KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 4.94 million was gutted in a fire in Bijuli Bazaar, KMC-10, on Sunday.

An electronic short circuit sparked the fire on the second floor of Rajesh Dugu yesterday, police said.

The blaze reduced Rs 65,000 cash at the Lok Dal party office into ashes while property worth Rs 4.87 million of Ishwari Suppliers was also destroyed.

A fire brigade assisted by locals doused the fire.

Further investigation is underway.
