KATHMANDU: The government on Monday appointed Suresh Man Shrestha, Chairman of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier.

Shrestha is Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

A Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Shrestha to the post, the government's spokesperson, Minister for Information and Communications, Minendra Rijal informed.

Earlier, Shiva Sharan Neupane was Chairman of the Corporation.

The post was vacant since Neupane resigned from the position around a month ago.
