KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested a shopkeeper with 300 pieces of firecrackers from Siphal of KMC-7.

Police raided the Kamal Stationary and arrested its operator Kamal Basnet (24) of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-2 in Sindhupalchok district with cache of firecrackers

Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is underway, said police.

Police have stepped up crackdown on the storage, sale and distribution of firecrackers ahead of Tihar.
