Despite various blockades, and bandhs called by the political parties and the Moaists, the Office of Controller of Examination, Sanothimi, informed today that the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) results would be published by the end of this month. Birendra Kumar Singh, chief of Office of Controller of Examination (OCE) said that 85 per cent of the work has been completed and are working at full speed to complete the work on time.

Altogether, 3,17001 students have appeared for the examination. The answer sheet checkers have not been able to reach the district education office in the eastern district headquarters since May 13. The examinations will last till May 21 due to the blockades. Singh said during a press meet held here today that the problems would be sorted out in the eastern region and other alternatives are being mulled over. "The examined papers of central regional education directorate have already reached the OCE office," he said.
