Statute has to address concerns of all, Modi’s envoy tells Prez

KATHMANDU: Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Friday called on President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter's office and emphasised that the promulgation of the new constitution should be done addressing the concerns of all sides.

It would help protect achievements of sustainable peace and development, he added.

On the occasion, a wide range of issues in connection to the Nepal-India relations were discussed, said President's Press Advisor Rajendra Dahal.

The meeting was attended by President's Legal Advisor Surya Dhungel, Acting Secretary at the Office of the President Bhupendra Paudel, Foreign Ministry's Joint Secretary Prakash Kumar Subedi, Chief of Nepal Desk of Indian Ministry of External Affairs Abhay Kumar and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae.
