‘Statute implementation must to end disparity’
Kathmandu, April 14
Deputy Prime Minister CP Mainali today said effective implementation of the new constitution was a must to end discrimination against women, Dalits, Madhesis and people from other oppressed groups and communities.
Addressing a programme organised by Nagarik Ekata Samaj, DPM Mainali said major opposition Nepali Congress and Madhes-based parties should join the current government to ensure effective implementation of the new constitution.
On the occasion, DPM Mainali felicitated people from various walks of life for their contribution to society.
Those feted were parliamentarian Kamala Bishwakarma, Unified CPN-Maoist leader Renu Dahal and professor Tulsiram Pokharel, among others.
