Stolen goods worth millions recovered
KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Police Crime Division today made public property worth Rs one million recovered from looters.
The recovered goods include YC series motor-220 V, computers, generators, water pumps, sleeping bags, bicycles, saris, shawls, glasses, syringes, mobile phone sets, watches and kitchen utensils.
SP Ram Lagan Yadav said seven persons were arrested for allegedly stealing the goods from houses, various government and non-government offices and selling them in the Valley. The arrested have been identified as Kiran Budhathoki (28) of Kavre, Rame Dulal (21) of Chitwan, Prakash Maharjan (24) of Kathmandu, Sagar Thapa (28) of Bara, Bashu Pradhan (24) of Kavre, Sudan Thapa (35) of Kathmandu and Rabindra Khadki (30) of Kathmandu.
