KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Police Crime Division today made public property worth Rs one million recovered from looters.

The recovered goods include YC series motor-220 V, computers, generators, water pumps, sleeping bags, bicycles, saris, shawls, glasses, syringes, mobile phone sets, watches and kitchen utensils.

SP Ram Lagan Yadav said seven persons were arrested for allegedly stealing the goods from houses, various government and non-government offices and selling them in the Valley. The arrested have been identified as Kiran Budhathoki (28) of Kavre, Rame Dulal (21) of Chitwan, Prakash Maharjan (24) of Kathmandu, Sagar Thapa (28) of Bara, Bashu Pradhan (24) of Kavre, Sudan Thapa (35) of Kathmandu and Rabindra Khadki (30) of Kathmandu.

SP Yadav has asked the public to call 01-4261707 and 01-4257738 or to send an email to kathmanducid@nepalpolice.gov.np and metropol@wlink.com.np for further information about the stolen goods or to visit in person to collect them.
