Stress on moral education

Intellectuals have expressed concern over the decline of moral education in the country.
Speaking at an interaction the "Education — with norms and values", organised here today, professor Chintamani Yogi of the Hindu Vidyapeeth Nepal said, "Education that lacks moral values is a serious threat to society."
"All religions are equal," he said, adding that Hinduism emphasises on moral values. "Hindu religion is the mother of all religions. Only through the teachings of the Hindu religion is unity possible among all ethnic groups in Nepal."
Anubhav Ajeet, however, said, "It is not only religion that unites people but various factors are associated with it."
Pratish Onta talked about the importance of celebrating festivals such as Dashain and Tihar as national festivals.
