KATHMANDU, MARCH 3
The Supreme Court will remain open during the three-day election holiday declared by the government beginning March 4.
The apex court will also operate on March 8, a public holiday observed on the occasion of International Women's Day.
According to the Supreme Court administration, services will be available for a specified duration to ensure the uninterrupted hearing of habeas corpus petitions.
Supreme Court Spokesperson Arjun Koirala stated that, during the public holidays, the Court will function from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Petitions seeking a writ of habeas corpus, which concern an individual's personal liberty and fundamental rights, are heard even on public holidays due to their urgent and sensitive nature.
The Court has urged concerned individuals to avail themselves of the service within the designated hours on such public holidays.
