Sushma Swaraj arriving tomorrow for a two day visit
KATHMANDU: The Minister for External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj is arriving at the capital on Thursday for a two-day official visit.
The Ministry of External Affairs of India through an official press statement has said that the visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level political exchanges between India and Nepal, and reflects the expanding bilateral partnership and the importance that the two countries attach to further strengthening it across diverse sectors.
"The upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to hold discussions with political leaders of Nepal on issues of mutual interest, and to advance age-old, special ties of friendship between India and Nepal," the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal has stated that the Indian Minister for Foreign Affairs will pay separate calls on the President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and leaders of political parties on matters of mutual interest.
Swaraj's visit is being waited upon with much speculation by Nepali leaders, political analysts and citizens alike.
