Talks on fuel surcharge today
Kathmandu, December 9:
Airlines operators and officials at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation are scheduled to meet tomorrow to discuss hikes in fuel surcharges by domestic carriers.
Birendra Basnet, managing director, Buddha Air, said the airlines will put forth their view that the hikes were in line with an earlier pact with the ministry. But an official at Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said the airline companies should have asked the MoCTCA before raising prices and doing so unilaterally was not valid.
