KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested two teens – a boy and a girl – on charge of abducting an eight-year-old girl from Balkumari of Lalitpur.

Bhimsen Bhandari and Binita Banskota (both 16), permanent residents of Simthali-5 of Kavrepalnchok district, were nabbed from a room of the Purbeli Guest House in Chabahil, KMC-7.

Police said they rescued the hostage victim, Samjhana Pandey, daughter of Balaram Pandey from Balkumari in LSMC-9, from the room.

The girl was missing since Monday, according to police.

Further investigation is underway.
