KATHMANDU, MARCH 12

The temperature across most parts of the country has risen between March 10 and 12.

Data from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology indicates a gradual increase in temperature in most cities of the Terai and Madhesh regions. A similar trend has also been observed in the federal capital, Kathmandu.

On March 10, the temperature in the capital ranged between 20–22 °C, rising to 25.4 °C this afternoon. Tonight, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 15 and 17 °C.

Until this afternoon, Siraha District and Banke District reported the highest temperatures at 31.1 °C, while Humde Airport recorded the lowest at 3.2 °C.

Similarly, Pokhara is expected to experience temperatures of 26–28 °C. In the mountain region, Jumla is likely to see 23–25 °C, while Jomsom is expected to record 17–19 °C.

Overall, temperatures are forecast to continue rising over the next three days, with generally fair weather conditions expected.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari stated that the recent increase in temperature is due to rising atmospheric humidity and is likely to continue in the coming days.
