KATHMANDU, JANUARY 28

Although the Kathmandu Valley has witnessed declining temperatures for several days, the Tarai region experienced relief with 'high clouds' on Sunday.

The fog has not completely vanished, but high clouds are sparse, bringing respite to the Tarai.

The minimum temperature recorded in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday was 2.1 degrees Celsius. Senior meteorologist at the Weather Forecasting Division, Min Kumar Aryal, informed that Kathmandu witnessed the lowest temperature of the year on Sunday.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, Jumla experienced the minimum temperature, measured at minus 4.9 degrees Celsius, while Jomsom recorded 4.5 degrees Celsius.

"At 6:00 pm, visibility was above 1,000 meters in most parts of the country," Aryal informed.
