KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a Thai national with a tiger hide from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the Capital on Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as Mettandha Lakhanapiya (passport No. 4980980).

Lakhanapiya, who was about to left Kathmandu for Thailand, was detained during a security check, police informed.

Police said that the hide was concealed inside a leather bag.

Lakhanapiya has been sent to the Metropolitan Police Cricle, Gaushala for investigation, police said.
